Change doesn’t happen in silos; it happens in communities. That’s why we’re bringing together our community of investors, founders, and thought leaders for an evening of insights, connection, and impact. We want to share the incredible progress we’ve made together: our achievements, the path we’ve taken so far, and how our funds are performing. This event is also our way of saying thank you for your trust, vision, and role in accelerating the next generation of climate solutions.
This past year we’ve seen incredible breakthroughs, growing investor momentum, and undeniable proof that capital has the power to accelerate the solutions we need to solve climate change. And we couldn’t do this without you.
‍
At Carbon Equity, we see investing in climate tech as more than just making a sound investment. It’s about reshaping industries, driving real change, and proving that impact and return can go hand in hand.
And to make it even more exciting, two portfolio companies Metafuels and Syre, will take the stage to talk about the fuel of the future and how to make fashion more sustainable.

Dennis Nobelius, CEO of Syre:
Syre is revolutionizing textiles with hyperscale textile-to-textile recycling, starting with polyester. Their breakthrough tech delivers virgin-quality polyester with 85% lower CO₂ emissions. By 2032, Syre aims for 12 global plants, producing circular polyester for 16 billion T-shirts—cutting emissions equal to 3 million petrol cars.
In late 2024, they partnered with Selenis to launch a North Carolina recycling plant, integrating cutting-edge depolymerization and polymerization for cost-efficient, industrial-scale recycling
‍
‍Matthias A. Schnellmann, Senior Project Development Manager, Metafuels:
Metafuels powers the future of aviation with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), to help make affordable low carbon aviation a reality. The company has developed “aerobrew”, a technology that transforms green methanol to SAF, together with the recognized Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland.
Metafuels recently announced a $9M round in December, which they will utilize to transition from laboratory research to industrial-scale production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
